Chess puzzles: pick the best move

Each puzzle offers two legal moves and one of them is best. You play the one you think it is, say how sure you are, and only then see what an engine says it cost.

The positions come from Lichess's public puzzle dump, and both moves were evaluated offline by a chess engine — so ground truth here is measured rather than opinion.

What the set reads back is how many of the ten you played best, and then your calibration: whether the confidence you state matches how often you turn out to be right. It cannot read appetite for risk — the engine assumes best play from here, so nothing in the position carries variance.
